139. Return to the Library
Amy decides on the library as her next destination. “At least there won't be anyone there to see me! And maybe there'll be some helpful information in one of the books.”
The library remains just as messy as she left it. This time, Amy decides to search the pile farthest away form the door, reasoning that she's never searched there before and she's more likely to find something new and interesting. In short order, Amy is too frustrated to continue. “Some of these books are labeled with the Dewey Decimal System, others use Library of Congress call numbers, and not one book should be even remotely close to any of the other books in the pile!”
Fuming, Amy stands to leave. As she turns to head for the door, though, a strange book catches her eye. It's a leather-bound brown book, and its pages seem almost to be glowing. The book is called “The Perils of Dawn.” Intrigued, Amy pulls the book down and considers giving it a read. As she does, though, she feels a pang of guilt. “I really should be looking for Shannon...”
What should Amy do?
