158. Return to the Library
Amy decides to go back to the library. “Maybe I can find more information amidst all that clutter,” she tells herself. The library is just as messy as she left it. She picks a section and begins rummaging through the torn pages, loose papers, and damaged books that litter the floor. She finds nothing of interest and the mess only serves to enrage her inner librarian.
“That's it!” she thinks, “I can't stand being here one minute longer!” She gets up to leave, but a strange book on the shelf catches her eye. It's a light yellow volume, apparently undamaged. The pages are gilt and give off a faint glow. The cover bears a title, written in gold script: “The Sword of Allarion.”
Amy has never read this book, but can tell right away that it's a fantasy novel. Amy always loved to read fantasy as a kid. In fact, if truth be told, she still enjoys curling up with a good fantasy to this day. She scratches her head, contemplating.
“I really should get back to finding Shannon, but then, I have been at this a while. Maybe a little reading break will help focus my mind for more of this house's weirdness?”
What should Amy do?
