162. Back to the Lab
Amy can’t help but wonder if she missed something when she left the laboratory. It was so big and so cluttered, surely there must be something that would be useful in her quest? She carefully makes her way down the spiral staircase. The lab remains full of mysterious devices and chemicals. Amy begins searching. A large pile of electronic thing-a-ma-jigs and whats-its draws Amy’s attention. She begins sorting threw the pile, but must of it is obviously broken or too baffling to figure out.
As she nears the bottom of the pile she finds a strange gun. It’s green and shaped like a zap gun from a 1950’s science fiction TV show, except that the barrel of the gun is a flat disc with a spiral pattern on it. A label on the side reads “Doctor Carluzzo’s Astounding Hypno-Ray!” A piece of paper is rolled up and wedged in the trigger guard. Amy pulls it out and discovers that it’s a set of instructions for the ray. Amy wonders if this thing might be useful. “Maybe I can use it to get past Boswell…” she thinks to herself. On the other hand, she doesn’t really know how it works and there’s no telling what trouble she could get in.
What should Amy do?
