216. On the Stairs
Amy decides to give Boswell another try. If she could slay a monster like the Flytrap, she can get past a stuffy old butler! As she climbs the stairs, though, she begins to lose her nerve. Something about him seems off, in a scary way. Maybe it would be best to find a more subtle way to get around him?
As she stands pondering the situation, her eyes fall on the portrait of Claire Stephenson. Amy has an idea. “I’ll bet those boots are Claire’s. Between them and the undies I’ve already found, maybe I can fool Boswell into thinking I’m the old lady, returned to visit Lord Stephenson…”
