219. Return to the Greenhouse
Amy walks back into the greenhouse. She's fairly certain there's nothing here that will help her, but after her ordeal in the portrait gallery she feels a bit of calming greenery will do her some good. She sits on the central planter and has a look around the greenhouse while she rests. Something strange catches her eye in the corner. There's a large tree growing some kind of big red fruit. She's never seen a fruit like this before. It's kind of lumpy, like a potato, but shiny and red. A reddish-orange juice drips from the fruit. Amy discovers that her mouth is open and she is literally drooling on herself at the sight of this fruit. She wipes off the spittle, glad that no-one was around to see that, and tries to talk some sense into herself.
“You don't know what that is. It could be poisonous and, given what you've seen in this greenhouse, probably is.” Her stomach rumbles, “Quiet, you! If you're really hungry, I've got snacks in my bag.” She takes another longing look at the fruit. Can a granola bar really compare to a fresh, juicy... whatever that fruit is?
What should Amy do?
