32. Back to the Lab

Amy can’t help but wonder if she missed something when she left the laboratory. It was so big and so cluttered, surely there must be something that would be useful in her quest? She carefully makes her way down the spiral staircase. The lab remains full of mysterious devices and chemicals. Amy begins searching. On a table near the back she finds a strange silver device. It consists of three streamlined cylinders, a large one in the center and two small ones to the side of it. The small ones have large holes in the bottom. On the back of the device are a pair of leather straps. The device almost looks like a backpack. Searching around further, Amy discovers a small manual. The cover reads, “CarluzzCo Jet Pack Operating Instructions.”

“Huh,” Amy thinks, “A jet pack might be useful. I could fly up to the second story and get past Boswell.” She begins leafing through the instructions. They don't seem that complicated, though a warning at the beginning does caution that the device should only be operated by those with a pilot's license. Amy, needless to say, does not have one. “Still,” she thinks, “How hard can it be?”

What should Amy do?
