38. Return to the Library

Amy wonders if she didn’t miss something back in the library. “It IS messy, so who knows what useful things I may have overlooked.” She returns to the library and begins searching the shelves for something interesting. After a few minutes she gives up in frustration. “NOTHING is organized here! I can’t stand it! I’ll be here for a month searching for something useful that may not even be here!” she says to herself. As she finishes speaking, her eyes are drawn to a strange book on the shelf. It's a beaten up old paperback. The cover shows a woman in gray, wearing a sheriff’s star, facing down a gang of outlaws in the old west. The title reads, “Showdown at Pleasant Junction.” The pages give off a faint, mysterious glow.

Amy hasn't read a lot of westerns, but the female lead in this one intrigues her. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to read a bit, just to take her mind off her adventure for a while?

What should Amy do?
