40. Return to the Greenhouse
Amy heads back to the greenhouse. She figures she's earned a rest after all that dancing. She takes a seat on the planter and leans back as she looks around at all the greenery. Out of the corner of her eye, she spots something incongruous. She stands up and takes a few steps closer to get a better look. It appears to be... A pumpkin. But more than that, it seems to be carved with a grinning smile, like a Jack-o-Lantern.
“A Jack-o-Lantern? In May? It's too long before Halloween to be carved for this October, and it's so long since last Halloween that any Jack-o-Lantern's should be rotted. That's just too weird to ignore.” She starts walking over to get a better look, then pauses, placing a finger thoughtfully to her cheek. “Or is it? Maybe there's something nasty going on here...”
