87. Lunch Break

Unable to resist the temptation of the warm pile of muffins, Rosella reached in with both of her slender hands, and
greedily grabbed a pastry in each one.  Rotating between one and the other, she stuffed her face with bite after bite of
muffin, until her cheeks were puffed out as far as they could possibly stretch.  She chewed as fast as she could, hardly
waiting to swallow large chunks, nearly choking herself before stuffing more and more into her mouth.  Rosella could not
believe how hungry she was or how unladylike she was behaving.  Gorging along, the princess began to notice a
chunky textured filling to the muffins, and an open recipe book next to the pan.  Curious to the contents of the seemingly
delicious desert, Rosella began to read, the filling now beginning to taste a little bit tangy.  The feeling that something
was off grew more and more as she read the page and then nearly passed out when she saw a picture of a cockroach
on the page, being mixed into the batter!  Dropping the remaining bits of muffins in her hands to the floor, Rosella
backed away from the table trembling in revulsion.  At that point, she noticed little antennae poking out from the platter
muffins and even one or two of the critters breaking away from their baked prisons.  The crunchy textured filling now
made revolting sense to the hysterical princess.  But her revelations came all too late.  The ingested critters in her little
belly went to work fast and devoured Rosella from the inside out.  Rosella freaked out to her very last breath as the
gobbled up all her organs, bones, skin, hair, dress, even her pantyhose.  When asked, the cockroaches claimed they
were “high in fiber, and a low carb snack!”
