101. That's a Wrap!

This is gonna be so cool!” Amy squeaks as she reaches out to open the ornate coffin. It's sealed very, very tightly. Searching around the floor, Amy discovers a suspiciously convenient crowbar among the wreckage. She grabs it and begins prying the sarcophagus open.

After a good long while carefully prising along the edges of the sarcophagus, Amy hears a “Click!” and the lid budges about an inch. Inspecting around the edge she determines, to her satisfaction, that whatever was sealing the sarcophagus closed is not there any longer. She has only to open the lid and behold the remains of the Pharaoh Amethotep.

She grabs the lid with both hands and pulls. The lid swings open. As it does, a copious amount of green-tinted gas is released. Amy gets a good whiff. It smells like death. “Probably the result … of... de.. comp...os...it....ion,” she thinks as the gas takes its effect. Her skin turns a sickly green and her muscles relax. Her back slouches, her arms dangle down in front of her, her knees buckle, her feet point inward. The color fades from her eyes, leaving them a pair of pure white ping-pong balls. Her hair dries out and becomes straw-like. Her lips shrink and her mouth hangs open. Amy has transitioned from alive to undead.

The Pharaoh Amenthotep, all wrapped in bandages, peers out at the waifish woman who stands before him.

Eh,” he says, “Now really my type, but after six thousand years, whose complaining?” A dozen bandages fly out of the sarcophagus and proceed to wrap themselves around Amy. Soon the only thing that can be seen of the erstwhile adventuress are a patch of green arm skin and a tuft of dried brown hair sticking out of her head. Amy's glasses remain perched on the lump where her nose lies.

Finally, a few more bandages fly out, wrap around Amy's waist, and draw her into the sarcophagus, which slams closed. The sarcophagus rocks a bit as the mummified Amy is introduced to the elegant art of undead lovemaking.

Amy's lecture on Egyptology needs revising; she has become a footnote in Egyptian history, as the new queen of the Pharaoh Amenthotep!

Amy is in no condition to continue this adventure or her life.
