68. The Grand Hallway

Amy listens to her better judgment and decides to ignore the strange, sinister book. She picks her way through the library and emerges back in the hallway. She’s sure nothing has changed, but somehow the hallway seems a little brighter than it was before. Surely, though, it’s just Amy’s eyes adjusting to the light. Nothing else seems different here. But now Amy has a book! And more underwear. She thinks back on her adventure in the library. Somehow, while the library was still harrowing, Amy finds herself a bit less out of sorts than she did after the sitting room. “Maybe I’m getting used to this whole adventuring thing!” Amy thinks to herself. As a chill runs through her body, she mentally adds, “Not that I don’t want to get out of here as soon as possible! Now, where to next?”

Where should Amy go now?

Up the stairs

Back to the library

The sitting room
