172. On the Run

Amy lunges sideways and downward behind an end table just as the gun goes off. BOOOM! Amy looks back and sees a smoking hole in the doorway, about a foot in diameter, right behind where her head once was. Gulping, Amy turns back to look at the man, who appears to be reloading.

“I’ll get you yet, you blighter! Just a moment longer…”

Amy looks around. With this table in the way she doesn’t think she can make it to the crazy old man before he can get another shot off, and judging by the hole the gun left in the door she’s not at all confident that this table will provide much protection from the man’s elephant gun. She can either dash off to the left, toward the fireplace, or right, toward the windows.

Which way should Amy go?
