94. Inside the Fireplace
Amy lunges to her left, toward the fireplace, and sprints as fast as she can as soon as she reaches her feet. She drops down and slides into the great stone structure feet-first as soon as she hears the crazy old man cocking his rifle.
BOOM! KA-PWING! CRASH!
The old man fires off his rifle, which hits the fireplace and ricochets backward on the stone. The old man falls to his feet, narrowly avoiding being blown apart by his own shot. The bullet instead blows the top six inches off the armchair the old man stood next to.
Amy gets to her feet and appraises the situation. Amy currently is standing inside the fireplace. She now has a bit of an advantage, as the man lies prone on the floor, covering his head to avoid his own fire. His gun lies on the ground next to him. Amy looks around. She’s standing next to a rope that seems to be connected to the crystal chandelier. She could try untying it and see what happens, or she could charge the man and make a grab for his gun.
What should Amy do?
