208. The Librarian’s Office
Now that she has him subdued, Amy wonders if this crazy fellow might be some help to her. Still holding his lapel with one hand, she reaches into her pocket with the other and pulls out the reservation card. She hands it to the librarian. He looks at it, then a strange expression of calm covers his face.
“If you’ll allow me up…”
Taken aback, Amy gets off the man and stands. He picks himself up, brushes himself off, and walks off into a back room. Amy follows.
Though Amy wouldn’t have thought it possible, the back room is messier than the library. The room is nearly impossible to navigate through the piles of books everywhere, though the strange librarian manages to do so expertly. Amy stands by the door, looking warily at the cobwebs that cover the floor and ceilings. As her eyes wander, she notices a piece of cloth on the pile of books next to her. On closer inspection, it appears to be a lacy black garter belt. Amy contemplates grabbing it and adding it to her growing collection of fancy lingerie, but then she wonders if the librarian would be disturbed by the intrusion…
