48. Too Late for Visitors

Rosella wandered up the stone walkway of the creepy old mansion dragging the bulky axe along with her.  She was
hoping that perhaps it might help her get into the hidden room behind the parlor somehow.  A quick glance over the
front of the house windows revealed no lights on inside.  What Rosella foolishly did not expect was that the mansion was
not as safe at night as it was during the day.  The rustling in the bushes caused her heart to jumpstart and the last thing
Rosella got to do was open her mouth and prepare to scream in terror as her big blue eyes locked with a pair of glowing
white ones.  The decayed arms wrapped around her slender form and held her for a moment as her body went instantly
cold.  Rosella tried to release her scream but she was already doomed.  Her beautiful soft white skin wrinkled into a sour
pale gray, while her lush blonde hair dried out to a straw-like state fading to a deep charcoal.  Her beautiful velvet
vermilion gown aged with fade and frays.  The lovely sheer white nylons that encased her slender legs turned a putrid
brown and opened up with holes like a flame held near paper.  The zombie then released Rosella’s rotten body as it
dropped to the ground.  The princess’s fate however was not death.  While she lived 17 years as a beautiful girl, she
was doomed to wander forever as the undead.  Her collapsed body reanimated with the same glowing white eyes of the
other zombies in the graveyard.  Note: To keep a clear complexion stick to the mansion’s normal visiting hours!
